Furman Universityālocated in Greenville, South Carolinaārecently completed an exciting renovation of their historic Timmons Arena, home of the Furman Paladins.
As part of the upgrade, the university wanted stair safety solutions that not only met strict safety standards, but also aligned with the refreshed visual identity of the venue.
With support from their long-standing community partner and project sponsor, Spinxāa beloved South Carolinaābased convenience store and gas station chain committed to supporting local initiativesāthe university sought a way to combine safety, function, and branded impact.

For this project, Furman required a very specific colour to match their arenaās updated interior paletteāone that wasnāt included in Tredsafeās usual range of 20+ standard DiamondTred insert colours. Our team was able to create a fully custom colour blend, ensuring the stair trims tied seamlessly into the arenaās new aesthetic. This custom colour became a perfect backdrop for both Furmanās branding and Spinxās sponsor identity.
To further enhance the environment, Furman University incorporated custom logo inserts featuring both the university and Spinx branding. This approach provided a highly visible, professional finish without the high cost typically associated with large-format arena graphics.
